A camp they will never forget; an experience they will always remember...
Who and What is TRAC? Teen Reach Adventure Camps are single-sex, three day camps for at-risk youth (ages 12-15), usually residing in foster care, who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. We partner with Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services and Social Workers to provide camps that offer them a chance to do things they don’t normally get to do.
They fish, craft, camp, hike, and complete low-risk challenge activities. Camp provides a confidential and safe atmosphere for the children, who in many cases would not be able to attend a normal camp because of behavioral or medication issues, run by volunteers who are trauma-informed.
TRAC Omaha provides area foster youth with a positive summer camp experience, showing them love, and giving them hope for their future. It emphasizes trust, self-value, and teamwork through activities designed to learn as they process their story.
These kids have emotional and relational challenges to overcome and giving them a significant and fun experience, including spiritual encouragement and relational successes, can change the course of their young lives.
